Terms & Conditions

By registering for and participating in The Divide – Kananaskis Gravel Adventure (the “Event”), you agree to the following Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. Please read them carefully.

1. Participation & Assumption of Risk
Participation in gravel cycling and outdoor adventure activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to injury, illness, weather exposure, wildlife encounters, road hazards, and equipment failure.

By registering for the Event, you acknowledge and accept these risks and confirm that:

  • You are physically capable of participating.

  • You are responsible for your own equipment, preparation, and decision-making.

  • You will ride within your limits and follow all event rules, instructions, and local laws.


The Event organizers are not responsible for injuries, losses, or damages resulting from participation, except where required by law.

2. Event Rules & Conduct
All participants are expected to:

  • Follow the official Code of Conduct

  • Obey instructions from event staff and volunteers

  • Respect fellow participants, staff, local residents, land managers, and the environment

  • Ride safely and responsibly at all times


Failure to comply may result in removal from the Event without refund.

3. Cancellation, Transfers, Deferrals & Refunds
The Event will take place rain or shine unless canceled by the organizers for safety or force majeure reasons.

Refund Policy

  • 75% refunds are available until March 16 2026 less $30 admin fee.

  • After March 16th, 2026, no refunds will be issued for any reason, including injury, illness, travel issues, or weather.


Transfers
Transfers of entry to another participant may be permitted at the discretion of The Divide for an admin fee of $30. All transfers must be completed no later than midnight on March 16, 2026.

Deferrals are permitted under the following guidelines:

  • Deferral requests made before March 16 2026 = 75% of your race fee will be deferred.

  • Deferral request made between March 17 2026 – April 17 2026 = 50% of your race fee will be deferred.
NO deferrals/roll overs/credits will be issued for registrations cancelled after April 17 2026.

  • A full deferral is permitted for reasons due to pregnancy &/or active military deployment – medical notes will be required.

  • A race entry can only be deferred one time and only to the following year’s event.


4. Event Changes & Cancellation
The organizers reserve the right to:

  • Modify routes, schedules, distances, or programming for safety or operational reasons

  • Cancel or postpone the Event due to circumstances beyond their control, including extreme weather, wildfire risk, land access restrictions, or public safety concerns


In the event of cancellation, refund or credit policies will be communicated clearly to registered participants.

5. Media & Photography
By participating, you grant permission for the Event organizers to capture and use photographs, video, and audio recordings taken during the Event for promotional and editorial purposes, without compensation.

6. Privacy Policy
We collect personal information necessary to operate the Event, including:

  • Name

  • Contact details (email, phone)

  • Emergency contact information

  • Registration details

  • Payment information (processed securely by third-party providers)


Your information is used to:

  • Process registrations and payments

  • Communicate event updates and logistics

  • Ensure participant safety

  • Meet legal and insurance requirements


We do not sell or rent your personal information. Information may be shared only with:

  • Event staff and contractors as required

  • Emergency services if necessary

  • Trusted third-party providers for registration, payment processing, and communications Data Security


We take reasonable steps to protect your information and work only with reputable service providers that meet industry security standards.

Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting the Event organizers, subject to legal and operational requirements.

7. Agreement

By registering for The Divide – Kananaskis Gravel Adventure, you confirm that you:

  • Have read and understood these Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy

  • Agree to abide by all event rules and policies

  • Accept responsibility for your participation
