Code of conduct
At The Divide – Kananaskis Gravel Adventure, we’re all here for stunning trails, epic rides, shared stories, and good times in the Rockies. This event welcomes riders of all backgrounds, abilities, and ambitions — from those chasing personal bests to folks simply out to breathe fresh mountain air and soak up the vibes.
To make this experience awesome for everyone, all participants agree to uphold the following standards:
🧡 1. Be Kind, Be Respectful
We ride together, we respect one another. Treat fellow riders, volunteers, staff, local residents, and land stewards with courtesy and care — no matter their experience, background, or bike choice. Kind words and patience go a long way.
🌈 2. Inclusive by Nature
The Divide is for everyone. We celebrate diversity and expect participants to contribute to an environment free from discrimination, harassment, or exclusion on the basis of race, gender, sexual orientation, age, ability, religion, body type, or any other characteristic.
🚴 3. Support Each Other
Gravel riding can be gritty and beautiful — sometimes both at once. Offer encouragement, share a smile or a snack, and help someone fix a flat if you can. We’re stronger (and happier) as a community.
🌲 4. Care for the Land
We’re guests on beautiful terrain in the Canadian Rockies. Respect trail etiquette, minimize waste, and leave no trace. Keep the mountains smiling for the next rider — and the ones after that.
✨ 5. Safety First
Look out for yourself and others. Obey course markings, follow directions from marshals, ride at a pace that’s safe for you, and know your limits. If you’re in doubt — slow down, communicate, and stay aware.
😄 6. Agree to Have a Good Time
By participating, you agree that:
You’ll try to have fun (even when it gets a little tough).
You’re okay with good vibes only (negativity stays home).
📣 7. Speak Up, Let Us Know
If you see behaviour that makes you or someone else uncomfortable or unsafe, please tell a volunteer or event organizer immediately. Your voice matters.
Our Promise to You
We’re committed to creating an event that’s welcoming, fun, and respectful for every rider and supporter who shows up with professional guidance, workshops, and recovery experiences. Ready to ride? Let’s make The Divide a place where great stories begin, friendships are forged, and everyone leaves with a grin and some grit.
